These guys saved me $5k after I brought in my Subaru Outback to diagnose a knock. They notified me of a class action lawsuit against Subaru that had extended my powertrain warranty to 100k miles, due to excessive oil consumption that could lead to said knock. I was at 99k when I brought it in to Legacy, luckily... This is something the Subaru dealer had never disclosed with me in all of my visits for various service, including when I brought the knock to their attention a year before this. Legacy advised me to call Subaru of America, and that a new short block should be covered under the extended warranty. Sure enough, after running an oil consumption test with Subaru, I am now getting a brand new short block at no cost. If Legacy had no knowledge of this lawsuit, I would've quickly rolled over 100k miles, voided my warranty, and been stuck with a bunk engine or a $5k repair bill.
